Rooted in Presence

Have you ever noticed how many things you do throughout the day without being fully present?

Slow Hatha Flow is an invitation to slow down and return your awareness to the present moment. Through conscious movement, breath and moments of stillness, the practice gradually settles the body and mind, creating the conditions for greater focus, inner stillness and a more meditative state.

Rather than simply moving through postures, we practise to notice, breathe and experience each moment with awareness.

Benefits:

  • Cultivates presence, awareness and concentration
  • Builds strength, balance and mobility
  • Deepens the connection between breath and movement
  • Helps release physical and mental tension
  • Prepares the body and mind for stillness and meditation

Irene Petsiti | AuraShanti

Irene is the yoga teacher behind AuraShanti.

Her connection with yoga began long before she thought of teaching. From a young age, she felt naturally drawn to self-awareness, inner exploration and a deeper connection with nature and the world around her. After years of personal practice, she eventually chose to leave a career unrelated to yoga and follow a path that had quietly been calling her for a long time.

That path led her to Rishikesh, India, where she immersed herself in the traditional practice and philosophy of Hatha Yoga, completing her teacher training in an ashram.

Since then, her education has continued through further training in Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Yoga for Kids, while she continues to explore and study other practices, including meditation and sound healing. For Irene, learning is an ongoing part of teaching, remaining a student is as important as being a teacher.

Veganism is also an integral part of her way of living and understanding yoga. Inspired by ahimsa, the yogic principle of non-harming, she sees yoga as a practice that extends far beyond the mat, into the way we relate to ourselves, to other beings, to nature and to the world around us.

Through AuraShanti, Irene shares what she continues to learn, with deep respect for the roots of yoga and the teachings she received in India, while allowing her own practice and teaching to keep evolving through study and experience.

Her intention is to create a space where we can slow down, cultivate awareness and reconnect, with the breath, with ourselves and with what surrounds us.

For her, yoga is not simply something we practise on the mat. It is something we learn to live.

Om Śāntiḥ Śāntiḥ Śāntiḥ

Peace from within.
Peace from what surrounds us.
Peace from what lies beyond our control.
