November 3rd: The introductory drawing class will feature simple still-life exercises designed to build student confidence and assess individual skills. Students will develop their observation and foundational techniques by exploring proportion, perspective, composition, line, form, light, and shadow.

November 10th: The painting class will focus on a vibrant still-life setup featuring fabrics, fruits, and colors. Students will explore color mixing, composition, form, light, shadow, texture, and brushwork to develop their observation skills and learn to express what they see in their own unique way.

November 17th and 24th: Working with Kroki, the class will focus on quick, expressive sketching to capture the basic shape, proportions, movement, and character of a subject within short time intervals. These fast-paced sessions will utilize a live model to help students prioritize essential qualities over small details.

The Kroki (or croquis) style of art is defined by quick, expressive sketching designed to capture the essential energy, posture and gesture of a subject in a matter of minutes. Originating from the French word for "sketch," this drawing style prioritizes raw perception and speed over fine details and perfection.
